Marina Jones is Executive Director of Development & Public Affairs at English National Opera, where she leads fundraising and external affairs across the company’s work in London and Greater Manchester. She has over 20 years’ experience in arts fundraising, including 13 years at the Royal Opera House, working on major campaigns and building support for opera at scale.

Her work focuses on growing philanthropy for opera—connecting audiences and donors with the art form in ways that are meaningful, accessible, and sustainable. She has a particular interest in donor psychology and the role of decision science in shaping how and why people give.

Marina holds an MA with Distinction in Philanthropic Studies from the University of Kent and is an Honorary Researcher and loves exploring the history of fundraising. She is a regular speaker on fundraising, philanthropy, and the future of cultural philanthropy.
