Charlie Palmer is a consultant at Steadman, where he helps organisations put AI to work on real problems. He spent twenty years in public service broadcasting at the BBC and Channel 4, most recently as Managing Editor of All 4, where he led the editorial strategy for Channel 4's streaming service as annual views grew from around 400 million to over a billion, largely by putting archive and acquired box sets to work.

Today he works with membership bodies, arts organisations and purpose-led businesses, using AI to read years of publications, records and archives, find the patterns in them, and build working tools around the way their people actually work. He studied MORSE (Maths, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics) at the University of Warwick, followed by an MA in Film and Television. Based in Woolwich, south-east London, he saw his first opera at Glyndebourne this summer.
