North London born and bred, Elly read Music at Cambridge, where she was also a choral scholar at Gonville & Caius College. After a stint as a corporate lawyer at Freshfields and then Boies Schiller Flexner, in 2018 she moved into litigation finance investment and she is now a partner at Hereford Litigation Capital in London, investing in litigation, legal, and distressed assets globally. While at Cambridge Elly co-founded Shadwell Opera, which has produced multiple award-winning and highly acclaimed productions of opera both familiar and newly commissioned at the Nevill Holt Festival, Opera Holland Park, Edinburgh Festival, Bamburg Symphony, Mariinsky Theatre, Alexander Palace Theatre, amongst others. Elly is now a Trustee of Shadwell and a Young Philanthropist of the Royal Opera and Ballet.
